Chateau D’If

Mourvedre | Syrah | Touriga Nacional

“Chateau D’If” references the notorious prison in The Count Of Monte Cristo, and the perilous journey it took to make Vandella a reality. Like The Count, the challenges and hardships only led to a more refined and elegant wine.

Current Vintage | 2014 | Paso Robles

Completely reminiscent of the Rhone Valley; tart cherries, white pepper, spice, and dried mint on the nose. The mouth feel is almost pinot-esque, exhibiting a medium-light body, with very direct and focused cranberry/red fruit. The finish is long and lingering, offering a hint of vanilla crème brûlée.
